Regular Season Round 21: Ura Basket - BC Nokia 76-64

An interesting game took place in Kaarina, where higher ranked BC Nokia (11-10) lost to ninth ranked Ura Basket (9-12) in a road game 64-76 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Ura Basket. BC Nokia was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ura Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BC Nokia's 40. The best player for the winners was American forward Carlton Brown (198-79, college: Texas A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Zach Ramey (191-81, college: Benedictine) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Ramey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Gambian forward Baboucarr Bojang (204-80, college: Illinois St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and guard Sami Kajander (189-83) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Ura Basket maintains ninth place with 9-12 record. Loser BC Nokia keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Ura Basket will face league's second-placed BC Jyvaskyla on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Nokia will play against Lapuan Korikobrat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
