Regular Season Round 10: Pure Youth - Taiwan Beer 77-70

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Taiwan Beer (21-5) against second ranked Pure Youth on Wednesday night. Pure Youth were defeated by Pure Youth 77-70. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Pure Youth trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 43-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Rashad Jennings (203-84, college: UALR) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 22 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman Chia En Mao (196-82) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) during the contest. Four Pure Youth players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Emmanuel Jones (200-85, college: UTPA) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks and international forward Jen-Wei Cheng (194-87) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Taiwan Beer's coach Chia-Hua Yan rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pure Youth maintains second position with 17-9 record having four points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost. Pure Youth are looking forward to face bottom-ranked KKL (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Taiwan Beer will play against KKL (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
