Regular Season Round 20: Haukar - Njardvik 72-80
Date: March 4, 2011
Very significant was Njardvik's (#7) 80-72 road victory against 8th ranked Haukar. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Haukar won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Njardvik made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Serbian guard Nenad Tomasevic (192-84) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Njardvik's coach Einar Johannson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Semaj Inge (193-87, college: Temple) did not help to save the game for Haukar. Dutch-American forward Gerald Robinson (204-84, college: Tennessee-Martin, agency: Court Side) added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. Njardvik have a solid three-game winning streak.
