We should mention about the upset which took place in Yingkou, where 11th ranked Liaoning Hunters (12-17) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (11-19) 80-88. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Liaoning Hunters won third quarter 27-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jilin Tigers brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. His fellow American import swingman Tim Pickett (193-81, college: Florida St.) accounted for 22 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. American guard Myles McKay (191-86, college: WiscKing.-Whitew.) came up with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Liaoning Hunters in the defeat. Five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers moved-up to thirteenth place. Liaoning Hunters lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Jilin Tigers will have a break next round.
