The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#2) and Fersped-Rabotnicki (#3). MZT Skopje (16-4) won against visiting Fersped-Rabotnicki (14-6) 82-71. The game was mostly controlled by MZT Skopje. Fersped-Rabotnicki managed to win fourth quarter 27-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fersped-Rabotnicki to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Fersped-Rabotnicki 41-27 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Fersped-Rabotnicki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Kiril Nikolovski (210-88, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian forward Nenad Zivcevic (204-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Dimitar Mirakovski (180-81, agency: Interperformances) produced 21 points and Geri Dendra added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje maintains second position in Superleague with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader Feni Indistrija. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. MZT Skopje are looking forward to face Lirija (#6) on the road in the next round. Fersped-Rabotnicki will play against ABA Strumica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
