Regular Season Round 21: Kings - Tigers 95-86

Bottom-ranked Kings managed to get a seventh victory. This time they won against seventh-ranked Melbourne Tigers in Sydney 95-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Melbourne Tigers. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 27-25 Melbourne Tigers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 95-86 at the end of the game. Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Julian Khazzouh (211-86) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta St.) chipped in 22 points. Kings' coach Ian Robilliard used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-American guard Corey Williams (191-77, college: Alabama St.) who recorded 22 points and 6 assists and naturalized British guard Daryl Corletto (193-81) added 24 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kings maintains ninth place with 7-17 record. Melbourne Tigers at the other side keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Kings' next round opponent will be higher ranked Adelaide 36ers (#8) in Findon and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
