Important game to mention about took place in Tartu. Third ranked TTU/Kalev (20-7) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-ranked TU/Rock (26-3) 72-71 on Tuesday evening. It looked good early as TU/Rock took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then TTU/Kalev had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and TU/Rock was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-72. TTU/Kalev made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 TU/Rock turnovers. The former international guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and Canadian guard Casey Archibald (195-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Vallo Allingu (206-78) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American power forward Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). TTU/Kalev maintains third place with 20-7 record having twelve points less than leader Kalev/Cramo. Defending champion TU/Rock keeps the second position with three games lost. TTU/Kalev will play against KK Parnu (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TU/Rock will have a break next round.
