Second Stage Round 3: USK Praha - Svitavy 64-66

The most exciting game of round 3 in the NBL took place in Praha. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed USK Praha (6-17) to fifth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (5-18) 66-64 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Jan Spacek (195-89) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Basketbal Svitavy's coach Jindrich Svojanovsky used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Vojtech Hruban (200-89) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Lukas Kotas (194-84) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Basketbal Svitavy have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Basketbal Svitavy maintains fifth place with 5-18 record. USK Praha at the other side keeps the fourth position with 17 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy are looking forward to face Lokomotiva Plzen (#6) at home in the next round. USK Praha will play against the league's second-placed BC Kolin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
