Second Stage Round 4: BC Kolin - USK Praha 68-78

Very important is a home loss of second ranked BC Kolin (11-13) against fourth ranked USK Praha (7-17) on Saturday night. Host BC Kolin was defeated by USK Praha in Kolin 78-68. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. USK Praha outrebounded BC Kolin 37-26 including a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by international forward Lukas Kotas (194-84) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. USK Praha's coach Ken Scalabroni allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Brad Jones (186-85, college: Wyoming, agency: Stanley International) did not help to save the game for BC Kolin. Forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) added 18 points for lost side. USK Praha moved-up to third place in A2, which they share with Basketbol Brno. BC Kolin at the other side keeps the second position with 13 games lost. USK Praha's next round opponent will be Basketbol Brno (#3) at home, which may be the game of the day. BC Kolin will play against Lokomotiva Plzen.
