Regular Season Round 97: Springfield A. - Ft.Wayne MA 94-98 OT

The Mad Ants used a furious third-quarter rally to defeat Springfield 98-94 in overtime Saturday in their NBA D-League game in Springfield, Mass. The Ants (19-22) trailed 48-32 at halftime but outscored Springfield 35-16 in the third period to take a 67-64 lead going into the fourth quarter. Although Springfield (11-31) caught the Ants at 92 to send the game into overtime, Fort Wayne outscored the Armor 6-2 in the overtime session. Guard Rod Wilmont led the Mad Ants with 29 points, the first time the former Indiana University standout surpassed the 20-point mark since scoring a season-high 35 against Erie on Jan. 12. Marvin Phillips added 17 points, former Purdue and Huntington North guard Chris Kramer had 16 points and a team-high eight assists, and Darnell Lazare had 11 points. The Ants visit Maine tonight and return home to face Springfield on Thursday.
