Quarter-Finals Round 1: Ulriken Elite - Gimle BBK 82-69

The game was mostly controlled by Ulriken. Gimle managed to win third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Gimle's 40. Ulriken forced 19 Gimle turnovers and outrebounded them 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Gimle helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (196-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and guard Ali Ouakkaha (185-90) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Ulriken players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Croatian-Austrian power forward Ivan Djerman (202-83, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 14 points. Gimle's coach DuRell Sanford rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
