Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki (15-8) against sixth ranked Lirija (8-15) on Wednesday night. Visiting Fersped-Rabotnicki was defeated by Lirija in a tough game in Lirija 64-70. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-18 Fersped-Rabotnicki's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 70-64 at the end of the game. Lirija dominated on the defensive end, holding Fersped-Rabotnicki to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Fersped-Rabotnicki 45-33 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Soler Mavel Rejnerio orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Dominican guard Carlos Morban (187-82, college: FIU, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Serbian center Toni Simic (210-76) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and international guard Dimitar Mirakovski (180-81, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points in the effort for Fersped-Rabotnicki. Four Fersped-Rabotnicki players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Lirija maintains sixth place with 8-15 record. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Lirija will play against league's leader Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fersped-Rabotnicki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Torus Skopje.
