There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Scavolini Pesaro (10-12) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Benetton Treviso (10-12) 71-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 23-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Benetton Treviso made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American swingman Devin Smith (196-81, college: Virginia) fired 18 points for the winners. The other American import forward Brian Skinner (207-76, college: Baylor) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds.
