No shocking result in a game when second ranked MZT Skopje (19-5) beat at home 5th ranked ABA Strumica (10-14) 73-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by MZT Skopje. ABA Strumica managed to win third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MZT Skopje forced 24 ABA Strumica turnovers. The former international center Zlatko Gocevski (206-82, agency: Interperformances) notched 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 10 points, 5 assists and 4 steals by American guard Jeremiah Boswell (194-82) did not help to save the game for ABA Strumica. His fellow American import center John Chappell (208, college: S.Carolina) added 5 points and 11 rebounds. MZT Skopje maintains second position in Superleague with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Feni Indistrija. Newly promoted ABA Strumica keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost. MZT Skopje's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Fersped-Rabotnicki.
