A very close game took place in Melbourne between Gold Coast Blaze and Melbourne Tigers. Sixth ranked Gold Coast Blaze (12-14) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Melbourne Tigers (10-16). Gold Coast Blaze managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 in the fight for the sixth place. International guard Adam Gibson (188-86) helped adding 12 points and 7 assists. Gold Coast Blaze's coach Joey Wright used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Jamaican-American guard Corey Williams (191-77, college: Alabama St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Lucas Walker (203, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Melbourne Tigers players scored in double figures. Gold Coast Blaze maintains sixth place with 12-14 record. Loser Melbourne Tigers keep the seventh position with 16 games lost.
