Regular Season Round 105: Iowa E. - Ft.Wayne MA 104-97

Even though the Mad Ants lost 104-97 to the Iowa Energy on Sunday in Des Moines, the Ants held onto the eighth and final playoff berth available in the NBA Development League. Fort Wayne (21-24), which rode a bus to Iowa immediately after its home victory over Springfield on Saturday night, fell behind at the half and never caught up to Iowa (34-11). Chris Kramer led the Ants with 18 points and seven rebounds. Rod Wilmont had 12 points, Marvin Phillips Jr. had 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Darnell Lazare and Anthony Kent had 11 points each. Marqus Blakely had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the league-leading Energy, and Curtis Stinson had 23 points and 15 assists. The Ants maintained their lead over their nearest rivals, all searching for the final D-League playoff berth. Texas (20-25) lost to Maine, 107-105, and stayed a game behind, and Austin (19-24) is also a game back. Idaho (19-25) is 1 1/2 games behind Fort Wayne.
