6th ranked Terceira Basket (11-8) fell to seventh ranked Povoa (10-9) in overtime by three points 86-89 on Sunday night. The game took place in Angra Heroismo. But the guests from Povoa were better at the end. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 23-13 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Terceira Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Rui Coelho (191-89) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Anthony jr. Oha (198-83, college: Prairie View A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) answered with 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists and the other American import power forward Durrell Nevels (198-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) added 21 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Terceira Basket. Povoa maintains seventh place with 10-9 record. Terceira Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Povoa will face Guifoes (#9) on the road in the next round.
