There was no surprise in Warszawa where 9th ranked Polonia Azbud (9-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Trefl Sopot (13-8) 74-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Trefl Sopot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Polonia Azbud was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Lawrence Kinnard (202-86, college: UAB) who scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St., agency: Pro One Sports) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Trefl Sopot have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Energa Czarni. Polonia Azbud at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. Trefl Sopot will face league's second-placed PGE Turow in Zgorzelec in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Polonia Azbud will play on the road against Energa Czarni (#4) in Slupsk.
