Quarter-Finals Round 3: Keflavik - IR 95-90 OT

Keflavik needen overtime to overcome IR and advance into the next round. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 22-13 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Keflavik forced 28 IR turnovers and had a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. IR was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international center Gunnar Thorsteinsson (204-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (199-80, agency: BeoExcell) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Kelly Biedler (196-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian-Canadian forward Nemanja Sovic (198-77, college: Pfeiffer) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Keflavik and five IR players scored in double figures.
