Important game to mention about took place in Krivoy Rog. Ninth ranked DniproAzot (18-24) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Kryvbasbasket (20-21) 70-69 on Wednesday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kryvbasbasket won fourth quarter 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DniproAzot looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for Latvian guard Rinalds Sirsnins (186-85) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 assists. Canadian power forward Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklahoma Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five DniproAzot players scored in double figures. DniproAzot's coach Igor Chigrinov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international forward Dmitry Korablev (198-77) answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Victor Kondratovets (187-76) added 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kryvbasbasket. The victory was the third consecutive win for DniproAzot. They maintain ninth place with 18-24 record. Loser Kryvbasbasket keeps the seventh position with 21 games lost. DniproAzot will face higher ranked Dnipro (#8) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
