Quarter-Finals Round 2: Real Madrid - Valencia 75-81

Power Electronics Valencia is the winner of Game Two. They managed to beat Real in Madrid 75-81 tying the score to 1-1 in the Euroleague Quarterfinals. Omar-Sharif Cook exploded for the guests with 20 points and 6 assists for 33 minutes. He made of all his five attempts for 3-pts reaching valuation 25 (MVP). Jeremy Richardson scored 15, while Dusko Savanovic helped with double-double of 14 points and 10 boards. For the home squad, Sergio Llull had 18 points and 5 assists. He was their only player with double-digits in scoring. Clay Tucker stopped to 9 pts. Teams were pretty leveled at the beginning, before 6-0 run by the home squad which gave them 17-10 lead. Valencia immediately responded and cut the margin to 19-17 until the end of the first period. Novica Velickovic and Sergio Llull shined at the beginning of the second quarter and mostly thanks to them Real Madrid jumped to 31-22. Valencia once again replied, this time with 2-8 run, and they later tied the score to 35-35. It was Vidal, in the very last seconds of the period, who pulled up for a three that found the bottom of the net to leave Real Madrid in charge after two periods, 38-35. The hosts opened Q3 with quick 5-0 run, but visitors didn’t panic. Omar-Sharif Cook and Dusko Savanovic stepped up for them and together with Jeremy Richardson they made 2-14 run for 45-49. Pablo Prigioni stopped the curse with his own three, but still Valencia managed to take 54-59 lead until the end of Q3. Sergio Llull was the central figure in Real Madrid and together with Tucker he helped them to tie the score to 64-64 at the beginning of the last period. Real grabbed 72-71 later and Valencia created 0-4 run. With 30 seconds remaining Omar-Sharif Cook drained his fifth triple for 74-78 Valencia lead. Prigioni missed Real Madrid's attack and Cook went to the line. He missed the first one, but the second one went in for 74-79. Mirotic scored only for the hosts after that and Martinez sealed the victory for the guests making his both attempts from the line. Valencia will be the host in Game Three (March 29).
