The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked B&W Opava's (15-11) home victory over second-best BC Kolin (12-14) 92-53 on Saturday. The game without a history. B&W Opava led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to BC Kolin's 34. They outrebounded BC Kolin 46-25 including a 34-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. B&W Opava looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Jan Kratochvil (200-82) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four B&W Opava players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovakian guard Roman Marko (195-86) with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) scored 10 points. BC Kolin's coach Predrag Benacek gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. B&W Opava have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in A2 with 15-11 record. Loser BC Kolin keeps the second place with 14 games lost. B&W Opava will face USK Praha (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BC Kolin will play against Basketbal Svitavy.
