Regular Season Round 112: Ft.Wayne MA - Z*N.Mexico T. 129-97

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants (23-25) had 8 players finish in double figures to defeat the New Mexico Thunderbirds (20-28), 129-97. The first period of play was a back and forth battle that saw 6 lead changes and 5 ties. At the end of the first 12 minutes the Thunderbirds led 27-25. The Mad Ants shot 70% from the floor in the second period to take control of the lead and were up 60-50 going into the locker rooms at the half. The Mad Ants hot shooting continued into the second half as they hit 9 three pointers in the third and fourth to extend their lead to as many as 36 points late in the fourth. Despite Thunderbirds' Jamine Peters 18 second half points, the Mad Ants offense was just too much to handle as they easily closed out the game on top. The Thunderbirds were led by Peters who led all scorers with 36 points. Josh Bostic contributed 18 and Walter Sharpe added 13 off of the bench. Marvin Phillips Jr. led all Mad Ant scorers with 22 points and 13 points off of the bench. Darnell Lazare and Chris Kramer added 18 and 17 respectively.
