A very close game took place in Melilla between Leche Rio Breogan and Melilla Baloncesto. Leche Rio Breogan managed to escape with a 2-point win 69-67 in the fight for the ninth place. American forward Eric Hicks (198-83, college: Cincinnati) fired 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Miguel Montanana (206-80) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American-Austrian guard Jason Detrick (198-80, college: Oklahoma) added 14 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Leche Rio Breogan. They moved-up to ninth place. Melilla Baloncesto lost their fifth game in a row. Loser Melilla Baloncesto dropped to the tenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with La Palma. Leche Rio Breogan will meet bottom-ranked Ourense (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Ford Burgos (#3) and hope to secure a win.
