Regular Season Round 22: PAOK - Marousi 75-72

The most exciting game of round 22 in the A1 took place in Thessaloniki. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Marousi (12-10) to fourth ranked PAOK (13-9) 75-72 in the game for the third place. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Guyanese guard Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. PAOK's coach Soulis Markopoulos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Croatian center Dalibor Bagaric (217-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (185-86, college: Kansas St., agency: KMG Sports Management) scored 16 points. Five Marousi players scored in double figures. PAOK moved-up to third place. Marousi at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. PAOK are looking forward to face Ilysiakos (#13) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Marousi will play at home against Aris (#6) in Thessaloniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
