Semi-Finals Game 1: KR - Keflavik 87-79

KR surged ahead in the semifinal series against Keflavik as they celebrated at home court in the opener. It looked good early as Keflavik took an 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then KR had a 28-8 second period charge getting the lead and Keflavik was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-87. The former international swingman Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and American guard Marcus Walker (186-86, college: Colorado St., agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Thomas Sanders (191-85, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Duran International) came up with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international guard Axel Vilhjalmsson (188-88) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Keflavik in the defeat. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Keflavik's coach Gudjon Skulason rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
