Quarter-Finals Round 3: Valencia - Real Madrid 66-75

Real Madrid celebrated in Valencia last night. It was a 66-75 road win for 2-1 lead in the Euroleague Quarterfinals. D'or Fischer exploded with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the guests with no miss for 22 minutes. Ante Tomic scored 15 and Clay Tucker added two points less. On the other side, Dusko Savanovic shined with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Rafael Martinez had 11 points and Omar-Shariff Cook added 10 pts, plus 8 assists. Last quarter was the crucial one in this game. Before that, Valencia made 19-17 in the first ten minutes and they were 34-31 up at the break. Real Madrid made 34-36 turn after the breather, but Valencia replied with 15-7 run. However, they kept just 51-48 before the last period. D'or Fischer and his teammates completed 0-13 run at the beginning of Q4. With 2:35 to go Real Madrid was 59-69 up and Valencia was in deep trouble. Dusko Savanovic had his second straight three, but Llull fed D’or Fischer for a new alley-oop as Valencia's defense simply could not stop him with 13 points in the quarter up to that point. Valencia desperately needed a comeback, but they were not able to do it and Real Madrid made a giant step forward to the Euroleague Final Four. Game Four in Valencia tomorrow.
