Semi-Finals Game 3: Snaefell - Stjarnan 88-105

Stjarnan advanced into Express League Finals. They swept their semifinal series against Snaefell. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 19-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 105-88. Stjarnan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 34 and made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Snaefell helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Estonian forward Renato Lindmets (198-84, college: Westfield St., agency: Tank Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. FYR Macedonian forward Jovan Zdravevski (197-80) helped adding 25 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Sean Burton (175-86, college: Ithaca) with 13 points and 7 assists and Serbian forward Zeljko Bojovic (200-81, agency: 011 Sports) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Stjarnan and five Snaefell players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
