Semi-Finals Game 3: Ramat Hasharon - Maccabi Ashdod 66-77

Date: March 31, 2011
The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-66. Maccabi Ashdod shot 22 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Electra Ramat only scored four points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by Electra Ramat helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: 540 Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Katia Levitsky (190-85, college: Villanova, agency: Data Plus Group) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Ekaterina Abramzon (185-87) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Electra Ramat's coach Orna Ostfeld rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
