Undefeated leader Coamo delivered the second consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they beat 9th ranked San German (1-1) 95-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San German. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 29-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for guard Johwen Villegas (193-85, college: FIU) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Manuel Antonio Narvaez (211-81, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Paris Global Sports) helped adding 17 points and 12 rebounds. Five Coamo and four San German players scored in double figures. San German's coach Nelson Colon let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Coamo maintains first place with 2-0 record, which they share with Isabela. Loser San German dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Coamo will meet at home Bayamon (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. San German will play against Capitanes (#4) in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
