Rapla needed an overtime to tame TTU/Kalev and caught up with their opponents in the quarterfinal series. TTU/Kalev was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-18 charge of Rapla, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-6. Rapla shot 27 for 42 from the free-throw line, while TTU/Kalev only scored eleven points from the stripe. Rapla forced 21 TTU/Kalev turnovers. TTU/Kalev was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Heigo Erm (190-80) scored 30 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Raido Ringmets (204-83) chipped in 19 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. American-DR Congolese forward Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four TTU/Kalev players scored in double figures. TTU/Kalev's coach Ullar Kerde rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
