Geneve Lions are step away from the semis after the second victor in a row. The game without a history. Geneve Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Starwings' 38. Geneve Lions forced 22 Starwings turnovers and outrebounded them 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American forward Josh Almanson (205-82, college: Bowling Green) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Geneve Lions' coach Michel Perrin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Tony Brown (193-79, college: Arkansas St.) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Vernard Hollins (190-80, college: Wright St., agency: Warren Sports International) scored 20 points.
