Semi-Finals Game 3: Guangdong ST - DongGuan L. 115-111

It looked good early as DongGuan Leopards took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Guandong Tigers had a 36-33 second period charge getting the lead and DongGuan Leopards were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 111-115. Guandong Tigers forced 22 DongGuan Leopards turnovers. DongGuan Leopards were plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tennessee-Martin) who led his team to a victory scoring 41 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Marcus Haislip (207-80, college: Tennessee) helped adding 20 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Nigerian guard Josh-Emmanuel Akognon (180-86, college: Cal.St. Fullerton) with 38 points (!!!) and the former international center Kai Zhang (211-82) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Four Guandong Tigers and five DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
