Regular Season Round 33: Alcazar Adepal - UCAM Murcia 62-81

LEB Gold top team - CB Murcia (29-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventeenth ranked Fundacion Adepal (10-23) in Alcazar 81-62. The game was mostly controlled by CB Murcia. Fundacion Adepal was better in fourth quarter 13-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fundacion Adepal 33-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV, agency: Pro One Sports) who scored 13 points and 5 assists. Argentinian-Italian forward Juan Ignacio Jasen (196-85) chipped in 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four CB Murcia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was German power forward Kiril Wachsmann (203-83, college: Iona, agency: Edge Sports) who recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mikel Uriz (180-89) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for CB Murcia. They maintain first place with 29-4 record. Newly promoted Fundacion Adepal keeps the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. CB Murcia's next round opponent will be La Laguna (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Fundacion Adepal will play against Baloncesto Leon (#5).
