VICI Kaunas earned the spot in Baltic League Final. They held off Lithuanian rivals Lemminkainen in the second semifinal in Kaunas today. VICI Kaunas will now take on Spartak Saint Petersburg in the title decider tomorrow. Lemminkainen will play against Horizont of Belarus for the third place. Lemminkainen got to a successful start. They fired 28 points in the opening term and recorded a 7-point lead. But VICI gradually picked up the right tempo. The hosts erupted for 34 points in the second term that allowed them to gain a 55:45 halftime lead. VICI maintained the margin throughout intense third term. They entered the fourth period ahead by ten points. Lemminkainen were limited to just 10 points in the final stanza and had to yield at the end. Ausra Bimbaite produced 15 points to pace VICI. Giedre Paugaite provided 14 points in the victory. Rita Milieskiene answered with 17 points for Lemminkainen. Laura Povilonyte had 16 points in defeat.
