The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Espoo Honka won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UU-Korihait made 33-of-42 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Espoo Honka only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Espoo Honka 38-19 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Espoo Honka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bosnian guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. International power forward Petri Heinonen (207-88) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. American center John Williamson (198-86, college: Cincinnati) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Tuomas Iisalo (195-82, agency: Court Side) added 24 points in the effort for Espoo Honka.
