Regular Season Round 4: Mayaguez - Humacao 77-85

Date: April 9, 2011
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Indios (2-4) lost to sixth ranked Caciques (2-3) in Mayaguez 77-85. It looked good early as Indios took an 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Caciques took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. 29 personal fouls committed by Indios helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Brandon Robinson (202-81, college: Auburn, agency: Paris Global Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American-Nigerian forward Ikechukwu Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU, agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Caciques players scored in double figures. Venezuelan power forward Hector Romero (202-80, college: New Orleans) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Indios' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Caciques maintains sixth position with 2-3 record, which they share with Isabela. Indios lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Caciques' next round opponent will be league's leader Quebradillas at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Indios will play against Mets (#5) in Guaynabo.
