Regular Season Round 22: Fisica - Terceira 79-92

The most important game in the last round took place in Torres Vedras between second ranked Fisica (15-7) and seventh ranked Terceira Basket (13-9) on Saturday night. Fisica was defeated by Terceira Basket at home 79-92. Fisica was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Terceira Basket forced 19 Fisica turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Fisica helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Durrell Nevels (198-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Miguel Salvador (187-81) replied with 20 points and 4 assists and American power forward Jason Underwood (206-84, college: Centenary) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Fisica. Four Fisica players scored in double figures. Terceira Basket moved-up to fifth place. Fisica at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost.
