Semi-Finals Game 1: Lietuvos rytas - VEF Riga 68-79

VEF Riga earned the spot in the Baltic League Final. The Latvian powerhouse defeated Lietuvos Rytas in Kaunas tonight to set up the title clash with Zalgiris. Artsiom Parakhouski stepped up with 20 points to pace the winners. VEF Riga bravely entered the game. They quickly posted an 8:3 lead but Lietuvos Rytas answered with 6 points in a row to surge ahead. The lead changed hands before Dairis Bertans and Artsiom Parakhouski posted a 24:20 lead after ten minutes. VEF Riga maintained the lead throughout the second frame. Bakic made it 34:26 for the Latvian team and eventually they registered a 38:31 lead after twenty minutes of action. Jasaitis ignited a 6:0 run midway through the third term as Lietuvos Rytas narrowed the deficit at just two points 43:45. But VEF Riga hung on to post a 52:48 lead heading into the final term. Kenan Bajramovic and Bjelica kept the pressure on VEF Riga as Lietuvos Rytas trimmed the deficit to a single point for several times early in the fourth stanza. But finally VEF Riga triggered an 8:0 rally and cleared off for good. Sandis Valters netted 14 points, while Dairis Bertans delivered 10 in the winning case. Kenan Bajramovic replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Lietuvos Rytas. Martynas Gecevicius had 14 points in the loss.
