Date: April 9, 2011
Diekirch League top team - T71 (20-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Residence (9-16) in Bereldange 107-86. The game without a history. T71 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. International guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. T71's coach Jan Enjebo felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Marcus Kennedy (193-84, college: Montevallo, agency: Interperformances) answered with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and German center Marco Leschek (204-76) added 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Residence. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place in League with 20-5 record. Residence at the other side keeps the sixth position with 16 games lost. T71's next round opponent will be Sparta (#3) in Bertrange, which may be the game of the day. Residence will play at home against Basket Esch and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
