Finals Game 1: Wisla Can-Pak - CCC Polkowice 70-52

Wisla opened the championship series with a comfortable home win over CCC Polkowice. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Can-Pak. CCC Polkowice was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CCC Polkowice to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded CCC Polkowice 40-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian guard Erin Phillips (173-85) contributed with 14 points and 5 steals for the winners. American power forward Amisha Carter (188-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and international power forward Joanna Walich (183-81) added 6 points in the effort for CCC Polkowice. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
