The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Perth Wildcats were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Kirk Penney (196-80, college: Wisconsin) notched 38 points (!!!) to lead the effort and American guard Kevin Braswell (188-79, college: Georgetown, agency: Priority Sports) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by the former international power forward Matthew Knight (204-85, college: Loyola Marymount) did not help to save the game for Perth Wildcats. International guard Damian Martin (188-84, college: Loyola Marymount) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
