Regular Season Round 4: Guayama - Quebradillas 93-104

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Gallitos (2-3) in Isabela on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Quebradillas (4-1) 104-93. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Quebradillas outrebounded Gallitos 46-34 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Daniel Brown (185-84, college: Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. International center Peter John Ramos (222-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American guard Lewis Clinch (191-87, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) added 18 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Gallitos. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Quebradillas keep a position of league leader. Gallitos at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Humacao. Quebradillas are looking forward to face league's second-placed Maratonistas in Coamo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gallitos will play on the road against Cangrejeros (#10) in Santurce and are hoping to win this game.
