KR surged ahead in the championship series. They cruised past Stjarnan in the opener. The game without a history. KR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. KR outrebounded Stjarnan 45-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Stjarnan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Brynjar Bjoernsson (191-88, college: Francis Marion) stepped up and scored 28 points for the winners and American guard Marcus Walker (186-86, college: Colorado St., agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 23 points.
