Regular Season Round 4: San German - Mayaguez 74-82
Date: April 11, 2011
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Indios (2-4) beat 8th ranked Atleticos (2-4) in San German 82-74. It looked good early as Atleticos took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Indios took control getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. Indios brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. Venezuelan power forward Hector Romero (202-80, college: New Orleans) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Panamanian power forward Jaime Lloreda (201-80, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Donald Copeland (177-84, college: Seton Hall) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
