BSN top team - Quebradillas (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Caciques (2-4) in Humacao 83-65. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-65. Quebradillas had a 31-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international center Peter John Ramos (222-85) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Joel Jones (196-81, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Quebradillas players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Robinson (202-81, college: Auburn, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and British V.Islands center Kleon Penn (211-86, college: McNeese St., agency: Paris Global Sports) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quebradillas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Loser Caciques keep the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with San German and Isabela. Quebradillas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Caciques will play against Capitanes (#5) in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
