There was a change at the DBL leadership position after last games. Round 36 most important game was a defeat of league's leader GasTerra (29-7). They were defeated by seventh ranked DeFriesland (17-19) 92-88 in double-overtime on Saturday night. GasTerra was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in double-overtime 21-25s. DeFriesland forced 27 GasTerra turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when DeFriesland made 7 blocks. 28 personal fouls committed by GasTerra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian forward Manny Adako (203-87, college: Northeastern, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Todd Brown (196-87, college: Wright St.) who added 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Matt Haryasz (210-84, college: Stanford) with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Matt Bauscher (188-85, college: Boise St., agency: 540 Sports) scored 20 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GasTerra's coach Marco van den Berg rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. DeFriesland moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion GasTerra dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by ZZ Leiden. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
