No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Fileni BPA (14-14) beat on the road bottom-ranked Mazzeo San Severo (6-22) 81-75 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mazzeo San Severo won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Marco Rossi (183-81) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Kaniel Dickens (203-78, college: Idaho) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Luca Ianes (202-80) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mazzeo San Severo. Fileni BPA maintains eighth position with 14-14 record. Mazzeo San Severo lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 22 lost games. Fileni BPA will face higher ranked Sunrise Scafati (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mazzeo San Severo will play against Immobiliare SR (#6) in Rimini.
