Regular Season Round 22: Spartak SP - Dynamo MO 80-70

Very expected game when 9th ranked Dynamo Moscow (6-16) lost on the road to fifth ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (14-8) 80-70 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-70. It was a very good performance for American guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American-Bosnian guard Henry Domercant (192-80, college: E.Illinois) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach Zvi Sherf used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Victor Keyru (199-84) replied with 30 points and 5 rebounds and center Petr Gubanov (207-87) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo Moscow. Spartak St.Petersburg moved-up to fourth place, which they share with CSKA. Dynamo Moscow at the other side keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Spartak St.Petersburg is looking forward to face Krasnie Krilya (#8) in Samara in the next round. Dynamo Moscow will play at home against BC Nizhny Novgorod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
