TU/Rock held off pesky TTU/Kalev in the opener. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-16. But TTU/Kalev won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when TU/Rock won last quarter 23-15. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 TTU/Kalev turnovers. Georgian guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86) nailed 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and American power forward Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. American-DR Congolese forward Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and Canadian guard Casey Archibald (195-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 12 points respectively for TTU/Kalev in the defeat. TTU/Kalev's coach Ullar Kerde rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
